In this article I read the visual poem "Triangulo armónico " [Harmonic Triangle] as a parody of Modernist discourse, a literary strategy that allowed the young Huidobro to make his way toward a new poetic form which he himself called Creationist. Linda Hutcheon defines parody as a repetition with a difference based on an ironic 'trans contextualization' and inversion—a difference that presupposes a critical distance (whether of admiration or of contempt) vis-a-vis the model or hypo text, in Gerard Genette's terminology
