Abstract

Ramón Subercaseaux Vicuña´s memoirs, just like the rest of his oeuvre –paintings, essays– portray a cosmopolitism, “creole” version, impressionist, modern, conservative as well as non-conservative; also an outstanding generation, the first jeuneusse dorée of expatriate Chileans, equally “here-there”, both in Europe as well as in America, while travelling and remembering.
