Author Biography

Roberto Cabrera Valderrama, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

PhD in Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His doctoral thesis focused on the picture book as a new literary genre aimed at different audiences and readers. He lectured on Children's
Literature at the Universidad Diego Portales and Pontifica Universidad Católica. He was also part of the project Biblioteca Viva, which creates public libraries inside Mall Plaza (Chile). He passed away on August 25,
2014, leaving behind an important legacy regarding the study of Children's Literature in Chile.
